Cheese Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 slices bacon, diced
1 c. onion, chopped
1/3 c. celery, chopped
2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
3 c. milk
3/4 c. shredded pasteurized processed American cheese
Preparation

Cook bacon until just crisp. Add onion and celery and cook until tender. Stir in flour and salt. Gradually add milk.
Cook over low heat until smooth and thickened, about 10 minutes.
Stir often. Add cheese and stir until melted.
Yields 4 servings.
