French Creme Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. milk
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Add milk gradually to flour and stir until smooth.
    Cook in double boiler.
    Stir constantly until thick.
    Cook mixture.
    Keep covered and stir occasionally to avoid lumps.
    When creamed, add cooled flour and milk mixture on slow speed.
    When blended, beat for 15 minutes at medium speed.
    Add flavoring as desired.
    Use on Red Velvet cake or any cake.
