Onions Au Gratin - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 large sweet onions
1 beef bouillon cube
3/4 c. boiling water
1/4 tsp. thyme
salt and pepper
1 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 c. bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. melted margarine
1/4 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Peel and slice onions, arrange in baking dish, overlapping slices.
Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water.
Add thyme and pour over onions.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Dot with margarine.
Cover and bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Toss bread crumbs with the melted margarine.
Add cheese. Sprinkle crumbs and cheese over onions.
Bake, uncovered, 10 minutes longer.
