Plain Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 beaten eggs
    3 3/4 c. sifted flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream the butter.
    Add sugar gradually and cream until light. Stir in beaten eggs.
    Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
    Stir in vanilla. Chill thoroughly.
    Roll out 1/3-inch thick on lightly floured surface.
    Cut with flour cutter.
    Fry in hot deep fat (375\u00b0) until brown.
    Turn over once.
    Makes about 3 dozen.
