Sallie Knouse'S Japanese Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour, sifted 6 times
    5 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 lb. seeded raisins
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Divide batter in half.
    Bake 2 layers plain and to the other half, add the raisins and spices; roll raisins in flour.
    No oven temperature given.
    Put filling between layers.
    Ice cake on outside with white icing.
