Sausage And Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. oil
    sweet Italian sausage
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    salt and pepper
    1 small can tomato sauce or tomato juice
    1 slice bread
Preparation
    Fry as many sausages as you like in the oil.
    When browned, add cabbage (cut into strips).
    Then add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce or juice.
    Cook slow for 1 1/2 hours.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Add bread, broken into pieces.
    Simmer 30 minutes more.
