Mom'S Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 c. sliced celery
    1 c. carrots, thinly sliced
    1 c. potatoes, diced
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. shredded cabbage
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes and liquid
    4 c. hot water
    1 (8 oz.) can whole kernel corn
    1 clove garlic
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    2 beef bouillon cubes
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
Preparation
    Brown ground beef, onion and garlic together.
    Drain fat.
    Put beef, onion and garlic in 4-quart microwave casserole.
    Add celery, carrots, potatoes, bay leaf, basil, salt, bouillon, parsley, corn, Worcestershire, cabbage, tomatoes with liquid and water.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Cover.
    Microwave on high for 10 minutes.
    Stir. Reduce setting to Medium-low or Low for 20 to 30 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
