Chicken And Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (4 lb.) stewing chicken, cut up
12 c. cold water
1 c. diced raw carrots
1 c. diced parsley root
1 c. diced onion
1 c. chopped cabbage
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. canned tomatoes
1/2 c. diced kohlrabi
1 Tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation

Place the chicken and cold water in a pot.
Bring to a rolling boil and remove any froth that gathers on top.
Add all vegetables, salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to simmer.
Cover and cook for 2 to 3 hours or until the chicken is tender and can be pulled apart.
Remove the chicken from the soup.
Remove all meat from bones and return the meat to the soup.
Serves 6.
