Smothered Pork Chops - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 pork chops
1/4 tsp. sage
4 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tart red apples, cored
3 Tbsp. flour
2 c. hot water
1/3 c. raisins
Preparation

Sprinkle chops with salt and sage.
Sear slowly.
Turn to brown.
Place in large baking dish.
Slice apples 1/3-inch rings. Arrange on chops and sprinkle with broth sugar.
Add flour to fat in skillet and cook until brown.
Add water and stir until it boils.
Add vinegar, salt and raisins.
Pour sauce over chops. Cover and bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until apples are tender.
Serves 6.
