Mexican Casserole A La Battle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 can refried beans
    1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
    1 medium pkg. tortilla chips
    1/2 lb. grated cheddar cheese, or more to taste
    1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
Preparation
    Brown beef; add taco mix and about 1/3 cup water, plus 4 ounces tomato sauce. Simmer.
    Combine 4 ounces of tomato sauce with refried beans, stir and heat.
    Crush 1/3 to 1/2 package chips and layer in bottom of casserole dish; top with beef.
    Spread beans evenly on top of beef mixture.
    Crush remaining chips; combine with cheese and sprinkle on top of beans.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until heated through.
