Butter Rum Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. rum
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 to 2 c. finely grated nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans)
Preparation
    Note:
    For more of a cookie, use 1 1/2 cups nuts.
    Cream butter; add sugar, flavor, flour, then nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 12 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet or until delicate yellow color.
    Roll in powdered sugar if desired.
