6 Tbsp. melted butter
2 c. brown sugar (packed)
1/2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
2 c. milk
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
Preparation

In large skillet, melt butter; add brown sugar and 1/2 cup milk.
Cook to a rolling boil, stirring constantly.
Cook additional 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
In small bowl, add egg yolks, 2 cups milk, flour and salt.
Add to the mixture in the skillet.
Stir constantly, cooking until thick.
Add vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell.
Top with meringue and brown.
