Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    5 generous Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a bowl.
    Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until the mixture looks like coarse meal.
    Add milk and stir until a dough forms. Turn out onto a lightly floured board or pastry cloth and knead about 20 kneading turns.
    Pat dough out with hands to a thickness of 1/2 to 3/4-inch and cut with a 2 1/2 to 3-inch cutter.
    Place on an ungreased baking sheet with sides touching and bake in a 450\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
