Crete Chicken And Rice Dish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, pressed
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 sticks butter (half oil and half butter, if desired)
    salt and pepper
    1 large can sweet peas
    2 c. uncooked rice
    4 c. water
    1 cut up chicken
Preparation
    Melt butter in pan.
    Saute onion, garlic and pepper until tender.
    (Do not brown.)
    Remove from pan.
    Set aside.
    Add chicken.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Cook on medium heat until done.
    Remove from pan.
    Set aside.
    Drain water from peas into a pan.
    Add 4 cups water and rice.
    Cook until done.
    Add all sauteed ingredients you set aside.
    Stir well.
    Top with chicken. Cover and heat all.
    Serve.
