Hearty Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. mild shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. chopped onions
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chicken broth
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Place margarine and onion in microproof dish and cook on 90% power (saute) for 3 minutes
    or until onions are transparent. Combine salt, pepper and flour with milk. Heat onions, milk mixture and broth in large pot on stove on medium-high heat.
    Add cheese and stir until melted. If needed, thicken soup with cornstarch mixed with extra chicken broth.
    (This soup is also good with cooked cauliflower or carrots added.)
