Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

pastry for 2 crust pie for 9-inch pie pan
6 to 8 tart cooking apples (Empire or McIntosh)
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. sugar
3 1/2 Tbsp. flour
1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Wash, core, peel and thinly slice apples.
Brush slices with lemon juice.
Toss apple slices with a mixture of the sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt.
Fill pastry shell with apple mixture and dot with butter.
Cover apples with second pastry.
Prick top crust with fork.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake about 40 minutes longer.
