Pigs In Blankets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak, thinly sliced
    1/2 lb. bacon
    1 onion, chopped coarse
    garlic salt
    pepper
    1/2 c. flour, dissolved in water
    1 1/2 c. red wine (optional)
    water
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Lay steak strips flat on cutting board.
    Drape with 2 slices bacon lengthwise; place chopped onion along bacon.
    Sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper.
    Cut in half across bacon.
    Roll jelly roll style from small end and secure with 2 toothpicks.
    Fry and brown very well in butter in large skillet.
    Transfer to pot. Deglaze skillet with red wine or water and add to pot with pigs; add water to cover.
    Simmer 2 hours.
    Thicken stock with flour. Serve with mashed potatoes.
