Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oatmeal
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 stick oleo
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation
    Pour hot water over oatmeal and let stand 10 to 15 minutes. Cream together sugars and shortening. Add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients and add to shortening mixture. Add the oatmeal and mix well.
    Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 13 cake pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
