Jewel'S Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. candied cherries and pineapple
    1 c. nuts
    1 c. raisins
    8 chopped orange sliced candy
    2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. oleo
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. syrup
    4 eggs, beaten
    1/4 c. orange juice
Preparation
    Chop and mix fruit, etc.
    Sift flour and put 1/2 on fruit and stir until coated.
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Mix with liquid ingredients.
    Add fruit and stir in well.
    You may cook it in 1 tube pan or 2 loaf pans.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 4 to 5 hours or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
    Let cool in pan 15 minutes before turning out on cloth.
