Boiled Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. milk
    6 egg yolks
    3/4 c. sugar
    vanilla flavoring \"to taste\"
    1 cinnamon stick
Preparation
    Heat 5 cups of milk with cinnamon stick in double boiler. Beat egg yolks while adding sugar.
    Add 1 cup cold milk and continue beating for 2 minutes.
    Stir frequently with wooden spoon while cooking until it thickens enough to coat a spoon.
    Remove from heat and chill for several hours.
    Flavor with vanilla and serve plain
    or with whipped cream or grated coconut.
