Tart Cherry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans tart red cherries
    2 flat cans crushed pineapple
    1 c. sugar
    4 pkg. cherry jello
    3 c. ginger ale
    1 c. chopped pecans
    3/4 c. shredded coconut
Preparation
    Drain
    fruits,
    reserving
    juices.
    Add
    enough water to juice to make 3 1/2 cups and add sugar.
    Bring to boil, stir in jello. Add
    fruit
    and
    ginger
    ale.
    Chill until set, but not firm. Stir in nuts and coconut.
    Makes 12 to 14 servings.
