Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
4 Large Granny Smith apples, skinned, sliced
    3/4 cup (+ 1 Tbsp) All-purpose flour
    1 cup (+ 1 Tbsp) Sugar
    1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/3 cup Butter, cut into 1-inch pieces
Preparation
    Grease a 9 x 9-inch square pan with butter.
In a bowl, toss together the apples, 1 Tbsp. flour and 1 Tbsp sugar.
    Combine mixture in the pan.
In a separate bowl, mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
    Sprinkle evenly over apple mixture.
Sift and combine 1/2 cup sugar and 3/4 cup flour.
Gradually cut in the butter, one piece at a time, to the sifted flour to create a crumbly mixture. Sprinkle these crumbs evenly over apple mixture.
Bake at 400 degrees until bubbly and golden brown, for approximately 40 minutes.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
