Upside-Down Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. margarine
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 1/2 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 4 medium)
    1 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 medium bananas, sliced
Preparation
    Grease 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Blend 1/4 cup of margarine and brown sugar; spread in prepared pan.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Stir lemon juice into mashed bananas. Blend together the other 1/2 cup of margarine and sugar; add eggs, 1 at a time, blending until smooth.
    Stir in sifted flour mixture alternately with banana-lemon mixture, mixing until smooth after each addition.
