Caramel Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Grease and flour two 9-inch layer pans.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Combine flour and sugar in large bowl.
    Add shortening and 2/3 of the milk.
    Beat 2 minutes at medium speed with mixer.
    Add remaining milk and eggs.
    Beat 2 minutes longer.
    Add vanilla. Beat 1 minute.
    Pour into prepared pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until centers spring back when pressed lightly with fingertips.
    Cool in pans on wire rack 10 minutes.
    Remove from pans.
    Cool completely.
    Frost with Caramel Frosting.
