Christmas Pickles(A Family Favorite) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. dill pickles
    2 Tbsp. dried onion flakes
    3 Tbsp. white vinegar
    1 1/4 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Drain pickles; discard the liquid.
    Slice each pickle into lengthwise quarters or chunks.
    Put pickles back in jar.
    Add the rest of the ingredients.
    Put lid on tight and let stand at room temperature, shaking jar several times during the day to help dissolve the sugar.
    Refrigerate until they are used up.
