Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    1 c. jam (blackberry)
    3 1/2 c. flour
    2 c. nuts
    1 c. dates
    2 medium apples, chopped fine
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. each: cinnamon, allspice and cloves
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Beat.
    Dissolve soda in buttermilk.
    Add sweet milk.
    Roll nuts, dates and raisins in flour.
    Add spices and baking powder with flour.
    Chop apples and add last.
    Bake in layer until done.
