Jerline'S Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Wesson oil
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. pitted prunes
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook and chop prunes.
    Blend sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture, alternately with the milk.
    Add nuts and prunes; mix well.
    Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    When done, remove from oven and frost while hot, using Buttermilk Frosting.
