Chicken And Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 to 3 lb.) chicken, cut up
    2 qt. water
    1 1/2 c. diced carrots
    1 c. diced celery
    1/2 c. barley
    1/2 c. diced onion
    2 chicken bouillon cubes
    1 tsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. sage
Preparation
    Put chicken, water and bay leaf in a large pot.
    Cook until chicken is tender.
    Cool broth and skim off fat.
    Bone chicken and cut into small pieces.
    Return to pot and add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer covered for 1 hour or until vegetables are tender.
    Remove bay leaf beforing serving.
