Old South Wilted Lettuce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    1/4 c. vinegar, undiluted
    2 heads leaf lettuce
    1/2 c. chopped green onions
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp and drain on paper towel (or microwave and save fat).
    Add vinegar to fat and bring to boil.
    Tear lettuce to bite size (make ahead of time while bacon cooks).
    Add onions and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
