Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
1 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Mix together dry ingredients.
Add onion, buttermilk and egg. Drop by rounded spoonfuls into fresh hot oil.
Fry until golden brown.
