Red Cinnamon Hardtack Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. red food coloring
3/4 c. Karo light corn syrup
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon oil
Preparation

Combine sugar, corn syrup and water.
Boil to hard crack stage.
Remove from heat.
Add cinnamon oil and food coloring. Mix well.
Pour into 9 x 13 x 2-inch greased cake pan; spread evenly.
When cool, break into pieces by pounding with a large spoon.
Coat with powdered sugar.
