Ingredients

6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1 c. raisins
2 c. cooked rice
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 stick melted butter
1 qt. milk
pinch of salt
Preparation

Beat eggs and add spices, salt, vanilla, melted butter and 1/2 cup sugar.
Gradually add hot milk.
Mix together rice, raisins and remaining 1/2 cup sugar and turn into baking dish.
Pour egg mixture over rice.
Set baking dish in shallow pan of hot water and bake at 325\u00b0 until knife, when inserted, emerges clean.
Makes 8 servings.
