Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg yolks or 2 whole eggs
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. soft shortening
    3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Beat the eggs thoroughly. Beat in sugar. Stir in shortening. Sift together dry ingredients.
    Stir in mixture. Fry in deep fat at 370\u00b0 to 380\u00b0.
