Chicken Fried Cube Steaks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 (4 oz.) cube beef steaks
    2 eggs, beaten with 1 Tbsp. milk
    1 c. flour with 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening or vegetable oil with 1 Tbsp. butter or oleo to fry steaks in hot, heavy skillet
Preparation
    Dip steaks into egg mixture, then flour and egg and then flour again.
    Put steaks into skillet and fry until golden brown (about 5 minutes).
    Turn steaks over and fry other side.
    Excellent with a milk gravy, served on mashed potatoes, Southern style black-eyed peas and baked beans.
    Delicious!
