Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    2 c. cold water
    1 tsp. salt
    2 qt. milk
    1 egg
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Combine rice, water and salt.
    Turn burner on high until it starts to boil, then boil 10 minutes.
    Turn off burner and let stand 10 minutes.
    Before removing, cover, then add milk.
    Simmer on low heat until it starts to thicken, stirring often, then add egg, vanilla and sugar.
    Dot with butter and top with cinnamon.
