Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. self-rising meal
1/4 c. flour
6 Tbsp. onion, chopped fine
1 egg, beaten
1 1/4 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Mix onion, meal and flour together, then add well beaten egg and milk.
Drop by spoonfuls in hot oil.
When done, they will float to top.
Makes about 16 hush puppies.
