Meringue Surprises * - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 to 3 egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Beat together the egg whites, vanilla and salt.
(I add a small amount of cream of tartar also.)
Beat until stiff but not dry. Gradually beat in sugar until stiff and satiny.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
Bake in slow oven at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Line cookie tray with brown paper. Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
