Hungarian Goulash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef or veal
    1 qt. boiling water
    2 cloves garlic
    2 tsp. paprika
    1 1/2 c. potato cubes
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/8 tsp. marjoram
Preparation
    Cut meat in 1 1/2-inch cubes.
    Brown onion in butter until slightly brown; add meat.
    Add flour and seasonings; blend well. Add water or part water and tomato juice.
    Cover and cook slowly until tender, about 1 hour.
    Add potatoes and cook until tender.
