Apple Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
2 c. flour
1 c. finely chopped apples (do not peel)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. nuts
Preparation

Cream shortening; add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Add salt, vanilla and eggs; beat well.
Add milk, apples and nuts. Mix well.
Add flour and baking powder which have been sifted together.
Blend.
Pour batter into well-greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
Cool.
Remove from pan. Pour glaze over bread, letting it drip down the sides.
