Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) pie shell, unbaked
    3 whole eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. melted butter or margarine
    1/2 c. dark corn syrup
    1/2 c. white Karo
    1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped fine
    1/2 c. whole pecans for top
Preparation
    Beat eggs; stir in sugar, salt and corn syrup.
    Beat until well blended.
    Stir in chopped pecans and vanilla.
    Pour into pastry shell.
    Scatter halves over top and bake in a 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes or until filling is set and the pastry is browned.
    Cool before cutting.
