Porcupines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 or more lb. ground beef
    peeled potatoes, quartered
    small carrots
    chopped onion
    1/3 c. rice
    tomato juice
    salt and pepper
    1 egg
Preparation
    Mix ground beef, rice and 1 egg; make into small balls.
    Put into large pan and add 2 cups tomato juice and 1 cup water.
    Cook 10 minutes.
    Add vegetables and seasonings.
    Continue cooking until done.
    May be cooked in a crock-pot.
    It thickens as it cooks.
    Serve with hot French bread and a salad.
