Anise Kringle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    1 egg
    4 egg yolks
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 heaping tsp. anise seed
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients in order given.
    With hands, roll small pieces of dough to pencil thickness.
    Cut into 8 to 9-inch lengths.
    Form into pretzel shapes and arrange on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until light brown.
    Makes 4 dozen.
