Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    2 Tbsp. warm water
    5 c. White Lily self-rising flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water; set aside.
    Stir flour, sugar and baking soda together.
    Cut in shortening until size of peas. Mix buttermilk with yeast water; add to flour mixture.
    Stir with fork until moistened.
    Turn out onto floured surface.
    Sprinkle with flour; knead 4 to 5 times.
    Roll 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut with 2-inch cutter.
    Place close together on lightly greased pan. Bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Brush with melted butter.
    Makes 20 to 24.
