Hattie'S Old Fashioned Mincemeat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. lean boiled meat
    12 lb. apples
    1 1/2 lb. suet
    3 lb. raisins
    3 or 4 lb. lb. sugar
    10 tsp. cinnamon
    3 tsp. ground cloves
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. black pepper
    10 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 qt. cider
    1/2 qt. vinegar mixed with 1 c. molasses
    juice of 2 lemons
Preparation
    Grind cooked meat and suet.
    Chop fine or grind apples.
    Mix all ingredients in a large roasting pan.
    Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until done.
    Then put immediately into jars and seal.
