Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
    1 lb. raw peanuts
    2 sticks oleo
Preparation
    Melt sugar, syrup and water to light syrupy stage and add oleo.
    As soon as oleo is bubbling good, add peanuts.
    When mixture reaches hard crack stage (305\u00b0), remove from heat and add soda.
    Stir thoroughly.
    Pour into 2 pizza pans or 2 large cookie sheets that have been sprayed with Pam.
    Level off candy with spoon to thickness of peanuts.
    Set where it is cool.
    (We use electric frypan set at 340\u00b0 for cooking.)
