Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. sweet potatoes
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. butter
    1 small can crushed pineapple
Preparation
    Peel and grate potatoes into 1 gallon of water with 1 tablespoon salt dissolved in it.
    Drain and wash well.
    Place in 9 x 13 x 2-inch Pyrex dish.
    Cook sugar, syrup and water into syrup. Add butter.
    Pour pineapple over potatoes, then syrup.
    Cook on 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
