Hot Fudge Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 sq. bitter chocolate
    1 stick butter
    3 c. sugar
    1 tall can evaporated milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Melt chocolate and butter in double boiler.
    Add sugar, 3 tablespoons
    at a time, until all is moist.
    Mixture will be very dry.
    Add
    milk gradually, stirring constantly.
    Stir in salt; remove
    from
    fire.
    Let
    cool.
    Store in refrigerator. Add more milk
    for thinner sauce.
    Serve over cake, ice cream or pudding. Yields 1 quart.
