Mexican Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 c. kidney beans, drained
    1/2 c. French dressing
    1 c. water
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    4 c. shredded lettuce
    1/2 c. sliced green onions
    2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown ground beef and onion.
    Stir in kidney beans, French dressing, water and chili powder.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Add lettuce, green onions and 1 1/2 cups cheese; toss lightly.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
    Serve with crisp tortillas, if desired.
    Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
