Italian Style Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil *
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 c. water or dry wine
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. ground rosemary
    1 tsp. oregano
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) canned tomatoes
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground marjoram
    1 tsp. basil
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, cook onion and garlic in oil until onion is transparent.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Cover, simmer 45 to 50 minutes.
    Stir occasionally.
