Black Sour Milk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    6 to 7 Tbsp. cocoa (heaping)
    1 c. boiling water
    2 tsp. baking soda
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. sour milk
    2 c. flour
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Pour 1 cup boiling water over 2 cups sugar, shortening and cocoa.
    Combine soda, flour and salt.
    (Do not sift flour.)
    Add flour mixture to cocoa mixture.
    Beat eggs and add sour milk and vanilla.
    Add to flour mixture.
    (Do not overbeat.)
    Pour in greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Cake will keep fresh and moist in covered pan for days.
    Rich enough without frosting.
